CRAZY

Still working on the afghan but had to take a break..Making Joe some golf club covers. This is the 2nd set. The first set are worn out. He must be rough with them on the course.. hehehehhe

Been a crazy month. Dad has been in the hospital twice. The first time for breathing problems. Found out he has COPD. At least it is manageable...but it is not curable. Now he has shingles! Don't know when he will be able to come North to Poland Spring.

Hurray it is Spring

The weather the past few days has been great! After the days of rain that caused a lot of flooding and basements being flooded this was a great ending! Even we had 2 inches of water in our basement.

We are looking forward to going to Maine in a few weeks t0 open up our trailer. I hope the weather will be this good then. Although I hate the task of getting the trailer opened it is great once it is done! The campfires and seeing friends that we have not seen all Winter is the highlight of opening weekend!

Still knitting the afghan for the trailer.....I call it the never ending afghan.

knitting and randon thoughts

I am still knitting the afghan for the camper. I am at 40 inches and it is suppose to be be 60 inches so 20 to go.....can not wait to finish it so that I can move on to something else. I like knitting but get bored with the big projects....I have so many things lined up to make.....

Dad in the hospital...a severe lung infection also COPD. He is on steroids and hopes to be home soon, he has been in there 4 days already. It is hard on me when they are sick and I can not go visit them in the hospital. At least it is not a blood clot again..that is the good news.

Went on a scrap book weekend this past weekend. Got a lot of pages done and had a lot of fun. The weekend goes by so fast, there is never enough time to get it all done. At least I get the opportunity to get as much done as I do. Worked mostly in the year of 1988...Christmas is done so I should be moving onto 1989 soon! Hurray!

SPRING?

Keep thinking Spring but then the snow gets in the way and reality sinks in...Winter is the season that we are in now. Tami posted pictures of the eagles up in Maine and I am waiting patiently to get up there and see them for myself. When I get up there then I know the good weather is here.

Come on Spring!

VACATION

Enjoying vacation so far... Had a great day with my cousin Karin, We had a day of laughs and even got some organizing done for the scrap weekend that is coming up in March.

Had a fun day with Elaine and Brooke...shopping and lunch.

There is nothing like not having to go to work yet still get paid! It's not that I hate my job it is just so nice to be able to have the whole day to get things done. I am less stressed when I am on vacation.

Hoping to get to spend some time with Kelly but she does not have the week off so we will have to squeeze something in. She did have Monday off but spent it with her friend for her birthday.

Still have some time off since it is only Tuesday....hope the rest of the week stays stress free.

A quick note

Well Feb. has been going okay....back to knitting classes. Working on my afghan for the trailer. More that half way done!

Liking the new school and the girls. The work load is easier for me and my knees and back. Not coming home in so much pain as I was while working in the high school.

Hoping Feb. continues to be good for all of us.

Spring?

Well we went to FLA. from Thursday night until Monday night. The weather was in the 70's which felt real good. We went to Apollo Beach and watched the manatees and also saw sharks jumping up in the air like dolphins. We also went to Myakka River state park. We saw wild boar and alligators and many other wild life. We went gambling and out to eat several times. It was so nice to visit my parents again in FLA. Joe got to golf one day too.. The trip was uneventful..great flights both ways.

I started back knitting my afghan for the camper...I have not done much knitting after Christmas. I needed a little break from knitting the vest and the washcloth. I am excited to get back into it,. I missed my first 2 knitting classes..the first one I was sick and the 2nd one I was on my way home from FLA. Looking forward to doing many new knitting projects this year.

2010

Well the year is not starting off too well. Kelly was in the emergency room with breathing problems and heart flutters. She is on a low dose of anxiety medication for a few weeks anyway..then we will see.

I have been sick for 4 days and after going to the Dr.s I find out I have a sinus infection! So I have been out of work 3 days...not a good start ot going to as new school.

I have not been knitting since I finished my mother's vest! My knitting class has started but I missed this week due to being sick and will miss next week due to coming home from Florida! I need to continue to work on my afghan for the trailer..

That is the good thing...we are going to Florida for a few days to visit my parents....it has been cold down there but should warm up to about 70 by the time we get there..I hope!

Happy New Year.

It was an interesting 2009. Got to spend a lot of time in my new trailer. Meet new friends. Added more problems to my health..nothing I can't handle. Changed job sites and stayed in touch with family and friends near and far. There was an unexpected wedding and an unexpected death of a young cousin. All in all 2009 was a good year other than a few moments.

I am thankful for my great husband and beautiful daughter. I am thankful for the health of my parents that they can still go off and do what they love.

I hope 2010 brings us all happiness and health.

Did not get things done this vacation that I wanted to. Did not feel most of the week but not sick enough to have to be bed ridden.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
